The Minibot Line

I developed the Minibot Line after the Spider Mite.

The Spider Mite Robot had some limitations as an inspection platform: It was difficult to see behind you and challenging to back up in tight crawlspaces. The Camera was limited to 750 lines and could not record without an additional DVR upgrade and all the electronics were exposed on the deck.

So, when developing the replacement for the Spider, I didn’t just replace the robot, I developed a system- an entire line of Portable, Industrial Inspection Platforms. The New Minibot Line would take the best features of the Spider Mite, resolve its shortcomings, and offer new innovations.

The New Minibot Lineup would include features such as “Zero Radius Turning”- So instead of having to virtually look behind you while executing a 3-point turn in a tight crawl space, you would simple rotate in place. Most of the of the Minibots would include a Super High Resolution Go Pro Camera in its own water-resistant housing. The Go Pro can easily record 4K Video or High-Definition Stills.

The Minibots would all be based on a modular design and incorporate an Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Shell. This Shell/Chassis would house all the electronics and allow Water Resistance as an option. This resolved the problem of having all the electronics exposed on the deck. The Shell becomes the chassis and houses the motors/ gearboxes.
